Murat Halstead letters [manuscript], 1870-1895.

In a letter to his wife, 1870, Halstead discusses dental work she is having done in St. Louis. In letters to S. S. McClure, 1880, 1895, Halstead discusses work for McClure particularly "THe defeat of Blaine for the presidency." He also discusses reviewing [Willaim T.?] Sherman's two volume book, and enclosing a clipping about James A. Garfield. A magazine photograph of Halstead is attached to one letter.
